RW Bro Roger W Freeman, KCAG decided to retire as the Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Dumnonia from 1st April 2023.

We all thank Roger for his outstanding service to the Province and the Order during his tenure and wish him a well-deserved, long and happy retirement.

New Court at Beaminster

For some time, the Provincial Executive have been aware that the Order had no Court meeting in Dorset. With this in mind the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Roger Freeman tasked a small team with looking at the Masonic centres in Dorset to find a centre that might provide a suitable home for a new Court.

Dorchester initially looked a strong possibility but for a variety of reasons proved not to be ideal. Further investigation highlighted Wareham, however eventually Beaminster was selected as an excellent location and following a meeting of Potential Founders, a Petition was signed and forwarded to Grand Court. The Grand Master approved the formation of the new Court and the Consecration of the Court of King Ine No 143 took place at Beaminster on Saturday 7th. December 2019 with the first regular meeting held on 3rd February 2020.

Members were Instructed into the order at Court of King Cerdic No. 82 on 16th October 2019 by the Provincial Grand Master and his team.
